What robertlD8295WM doesn't like about Hilton Garden Inn Davis Downtown:
Noisy Creaky Bed, spring mattress uncomfortable, noisy location with train noise all the time , tracks 150ft from hotel. Elevator was down. Walls paper thin. No Pool no Cont breakfast. Tight parking as well. View all feedback.

It's also in a mecca of wonderful shops and dining. There you have it. Thankfully, I did not have a large tote of luggage, as you will need to use stairs. Something else that you need to consider. I was told the part for the elevator is on its way.....

Older hotel that was purchased by Hilton in the past couple years. It's nicely renovated. Location is great to walk to restaurants and nightlife. First time to downtown Davis and it's really a darling area. Tree lined streets. Lots of activity, even though most students are gone for summer. Typical breakfast. Was not automatically comped, but when we asked about local breakfast locations, they offered to comp us! If you don't want to hear the train though, you should stay elsewhere.
I booked this hotel months ahead for our daughter’s graduation. I am handicapped and booked a room with a roll in shower. The day before our arrival I received a call saying that the elevator to our room was broken but they had a handicapped room with a tub on the first floor. I said that was fine and that we were checking in after 10 pm after flying in from Virginia. We arrived on the 14th at approximately 10 and were told that they had no room for us because both elevators were broken. I’m sure they had given our handicapped room to someone else. This is the 2nd time of staying there for us. The first time we had to switch to another hotel because of the smell in the room. Thank goodness I found a Residence Inn with a handicapped room in Davis, but it was 8 miles away rather than downtown. I will hesitate to ever stay in a Hilton again. Do not trust this hotel.
If I could move this place away from the noise of the railway station then it would be a fair bed and breakfast. The noise of the trains at 3 and 4 in the morning is loud, so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep. After asking to be moved to a quieter room we stayed reluctantly for 5 more nights. The basic $15 hot and cold breakfast was ok. There was no housekeeping or room cleaning as standard. Anything you needed you had to ask the already hard working staff for, we felt uncomfortable doing this. Two paper cups and a few coffees were provided initially. We made our beds and tidied bathroom for the whole time, not the Hilton experience we were expecting. The elevator was broken when we arrived, still out of order when we left, June 2023. Staff were friendly, especially Sarah at breakfast, We stayed in the Aggie Inn before and had a lovely time but it was booked up . To sum up- forget the Hilton name. Staff nice, facilities poor, location poor. Would not stay again.
