"We had a lovely lunch here. Staff were very good. Great seat by the window looking at the sea. Food was delicious and beautifully presented . Mushroom pate was yummo. Pork belly was cooked perfectly with tasty accompaniments . A great plant based menu. Hubby enjoyed the salmon . Pancakes went down well."

"Hands down the best place in Petone for dinner! The restaurant has an Italian marketplace feel to it and has produce for sale as well. We had the pumpkin ravioli and seafood risotto, with olives and bruschetta to start. Everything was flawless and absolutely delicious!! Authentic Italian flavours, took me back to being in an Italian summer.. The customer service was also on point! They had a delicious range of desserts I’ll be back to try! Don’t miss this one"

"Other than about 1 dish that has egg in, everything else is vegan. Very friendly service, extremely tasty, decent portion sizes. The curry soup was similar to Laksa from Aunty Meena's but had different veg in. Thai fried noodles were pretty good too."

"Our first time in the el matador. we had a great experience. friendly and efficient staff. fantastic menu with a large selection of tapas that cover vegetarian, vegan, gf, seafood, meat, etc. we went to tapas for a selection that came out pretty fast. we had the opportunity to have them as they were ready, together or at a distance. every dish was absolutely delicious. fully tasted and cooked for perfection. they stand up for me were the cattle cheeks. I would add that the dimensioning of the tapas is generous. everyone would be easily enough for a main meal so that we would have ordered less courts. would pay to ask the staff how big the courts they could order. atmosphere fits the type of restaurant. will definitely be back for more!"

"Very clean, nice service and the kebabs are one of the best Iv had. The kebabs are full to the brim and very tasty. The fries are very large but with the paprika seasoning and the oil they use for the fries are great!"

"Went to eat here for my 18th birthday last tuesday, and i highly reccomend!!!! My parents were enfatuated at how good it was and now they're planning days to go get dinner here again. Dad had the Beef Rendeng and scoffed it so fast i blinked and it was gone. Mum had goat curry and dad had half of it because it was so good. I had mango chicken and very yummy!!!! The Spring rolls, curry puffs and Murtabak were so good I could barely finish anything I ate so much. 100/10 Thank you everyone!!! "I really enjoyed my dining experience at Monsoon Poon for my Anniversary with my partner.<br/>Friendly and professional service. Even when they were busy the wait for a table wasn't too long.<br/>The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The firecracker chicken is no joke, quite spicy and I love spicy food.<br/>My girlfriend had the pork and we shared stuffed roti bread and fried squid tentacles. They all tasted great and I don't know what sauce they had but it was awesome.<br/>Also we tried the Mr. Miyagi, Monsoon Punch and a coffee cocktail and they were all well made and tasted great.<br/>Highly recommended and look forward to returning there."
