"Chocolate-Dipped Gluten-Free WAFFLE Cone!!!!! That right there deserves 10 stars out of 5. And while it could 've tasted like cardboard, it didn 't. They actually took the time to develop a recipe that works, tastes great, and knocks almost any other waffle cone over on the way to this one. I say almost because my mom used to run a gluten-free bakery with an ice cream parlor and she makes the best GF waffle cones hands-down. I mean, I have to say that, right? (Hi, mom! All kidding aside, waffle cones are just something I 'd given up on ever being able to eat in a public place. And chocolate-dipped? Holy wow. Definitely spring for the chocolate-dipped! And the ice cream was creamy, delicious and you could tell it was homemade. Couple that with the delicious smell wafting from the kitchen (the making of afore-mentioned waffle cone decadence and you 've got the makings of the perfect ice cream stop! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about ice cream ingredients and the place was adorably decorated too. I think they should have a guessing contest for how much money is embedded in all the counter tabletops... just for fun."

"We rolled into town quite late and weren't sure where we grab a bite. After check-in to the hotel we were glad to find Mavericks only on the way. They were incredibly busy, but sat by the bar and the bartender came right by. The Chislic Appetizer was incredible. Ten ounces of delicate, deep fried steak, slightly dusted in a garlic salt mixture. I'm not a big carnivore, but this dish is definitely longing."

"This coffee shop is so cozy. Many places to sit and work or enjoy your coffee. The baked goods looked great. I tried the Cranberry Sage Handpis. The sage was so subtle. It seemed to cut some of the cranberry tartness. A nice treat. Also enjoyed a latte. Sa vom Holzofen, which was beautiful on a cloudy day."

"The food is always good, but holy cow DON'T go there when you are in a hurry! Or you don't have more than an hour for lunch. A salad should not last over an hour to serve, especially when the place is empty and the offers on the salad where cold until the time it came to the table. The service has just been sorry to say slowly and I felt ignored by the waitress / bartender. Had to get up to ask for a box and my ticket. I knew I wouldn't sit there, who I know how long. Will not be back soon"
