"This buffet is absolute crap value for what Is charged! The food is pathetic and selection terrible! The beef pieces looked like they had been reheated and reused for a couple of days. We used to go to this restaurant a few years ago before being taken over by the current corporate owner and the food was much better. There used to be a centerpiece BBQ on which steaks would be prepared to order and it felt like a real restaurant with very nice service. The current situation is a poor substitute. I'm sad to see the old restaurant replaced by this. Other changes to the Furnace Creek properties are also a downgrade in my opinion."

"Last night we had a dried out “Mexican” buffet. Pretty accurate for Death Valley , but not if you want to have an ok dinner. The worst buffet I’ve ever had. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"

"An oasis in the desert in fact that’s the new name for this elegant old line National Park lodge. Just like its counterparts at Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Grand Canyon it is a must visit place. It is undergoing a renovation, which is a good thing as it was becoming shabby elegant. Drinks on the deck at sunset terrific. So is dinner outside if you can snare a table. The dining room though is historic. Service is spotty. Food is surprisingly good although pretty much National Park style. A bit on the pricey side, but it’s a long way for supplies to come. A dress code for dinner, but it is not always enforced. They should either enforce it or do away with it. Go for the experience not the food, although the food is better than you expect."

"Very friendly staff despite challenging circumstances (it was 120F today with power outages). That earned the stars. The food was very disappointing, even the bread was old. I would have understood if it was $7-9 or so, but at $27pp it is a rip-off. Future customers, be warned."
