Bullgogi - Decatur

This restaurant offers quick and fresh build-your-own meal options. I have been here 3-4 times since it opened about 5 years ago. It is similar to Chipotle, but for Korean cuisine, and the dining areas are a bit nicer than most fast-food places. I haven't experienced the service during busy times, but it has always been quick when I visit. The staff member at the counter couldn't confirm if the ramen contained wheat, but was helpful in recommending a sauce without soy. I tried a bowl with brown rice, sweet beef, and vegetables on top, and everything was fresh and better than average fast food. This restaurant seems to aim for a friendlier atmosphere than other Korean cafes on Buford Highway. They offer a variety of soft drinks, fresh lemonade, and Asian-language-labeled drinks. It is a great option for a quick and healthy Korean meal. Menus are displayed on the wall, and you can choose dishes ranging from mild to spicy.

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful in recommending ingredients for my first hot bowl (I usually opt for poke at similar places). The beef was flavorful and the vegetables were crisp and fresh.

This restaurant is truly delightful and the food is delicious! It is the best poke I have ever had in Decatur. I highly recommend stopping by this spot. The service is top-notch and the atmosphere is wonderful. The price per person is between $10 to $20. I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5. I recommend trying the Bowl with Spicy Mayo, Tuna, and Spicy Tuna.
