"Great place to relax at the end of the week. Found the Stem and Stein on UrbanSpoon (where else? and checked it out for my last night in Madison. Love the low key atmosphere, the live music and the great selection of beers. For me, the food could be improved, but the atmosphere and the great quality beers really made up for what the food lacked. It's not that it was bad the menu was clearly designed primarily as an accompaniment to the beers and wines they serve. The food isn't the main reason to go there. The service was pretty good in my opinion. The wait staff was there when I needed wanted them to be, and I was never left waiting long. I would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for an interesting glass and a great, funky neighbourhood bar to hang out in for a couple of hours."
