Me and the Ottawa Blind Bowler went to this restaurant for the OBBA banquet and awards night. First, the place was clean and very nice. Our first course was salad with thick and fantastic salad dressing. Then some chicken cordon bleu, and finally, our choice of desserts. Everything was made in the motel's kitchen, and it was delicious. Not just the food; the service was impeccable. They even informed us on the Ottawa... View all feedback.
What Brian Schiller doesn't like about Bears Den Lounge & Motel:
It is older rooms have a slight smell, restaurant needs to be updated, stains on the seating area. There is a bar area which again needs a complete over haul. It’s dark in there it needs windows, there is none. View all feedback.
It used to be consistently great but in the past year is providing sporadically poor service, timely service, cold meals, and inconsistent quality.
Wow! The food was so delicious that I decided to stop by again on my way home the next day. The service was fast and friendly, and the house-made bread was excellent. As I waited for my table, I observed the other diners and their dishes - everything looked amazing and everyone seemed content. Despite dining alone, the restaurant made me feel right at home.
Although this business calls itself a "Lounge and Motel," I am specifically reviewing its dining room, which is a public restaurant.
I had an Indian food buffet at the Bear's Den. It was good but quite small.Comparatively, I ate at a few different Indian food restaurants in Toronto/Mississauga/Oakville (which I chose randomnly) over the last few years and generally the Indian food at each of those restaurants was better than at the Bear's Den. Some of the dishes were very tasty, though. Service was generally average at the Bear's Den. I think the Bear's Den is a good dining choice in Deep River. I do think that if you are looking for an excellent Indian dining experience, you will probably be slightly disappointed. If you are looking for an average dining experience, the Bear's Den is a very good choice.
Affordable prices and cooked to order. Convenient location right off the highway with a hotel nearby. The homemade pizza was fantastic.
