Good food and service, we used a 50% off voucher which made the meal excellent value, not sure if that would be the case at full price. The new layout is more of a sports bar type area, less suited to the older generation such as us, but there was a quieter area towards the rear of the restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient. for 3pm we were offered the choice of 2 menus when we arrived after the decision on Sunday menu, we went to report Sunday menu stopped at 15pm! why then offer. eat in order, but not substantially and did not find that reasonable. View all feedback.

Having a fabulous weekend staff are brilliant upper deck well worth it

Food came out too quick to be fresh and some courses not warm. Very expensive considering its just decent pub food.

"Visiting my home town after 40 years away and a nice surprise to see things I still recognised as well as things new. Thaidee was one of the new things and what a nice surprise. The food was excellent, with wonderful flavours and fresh ingredients. I settled for a change cken and coconut flavoured soup for a starter followed by a green curry. Both perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and great company answering questions about the food and listening to my reminiscing about the town I left in the 1980s. The restaurant also serves take away food, but I will be returning to eat at their tables. "Due to covid restrictions the restaurant is only supplying pre prepared takeaway meals, but what a treat. Simple re heat instructions left us with a superb meal for two, of five star quality, for less than thirty pounds. I have no idea how they do it.If you're considering a takeaway, give it a try, you're in for a real treat. Many thanks to staff at On the Hill."
