I have been eating at Huapei for almost 40 years, through two generations of owners. While the building is plain and lacking in decorations, the food is the best Chinese cuisine in the Lansing area. Before covid happened I would have easily said this was my favorite Asian restaurant in Lansing. Things have changed though, and not for the better unfortunately. They do have dining in now but it's kind of strange. You have to order your meal 1st at the counter, then you can be seated.
