"We haven't visited the Clearwater Lodge for two years and we were excited for a great local meal. Sadly to say, it was the worst meal we have ever had at the Lodge. Service was extremely slow, 2.5hrs, due to not having the appropriate staff for the quality of people. The food was over cooked and not seasoned even with basic salt and pepper. When refill drinks/liquor was ordered from the bar, not one time were the glasses washed prior to refilling (a violation of state law). One of the meals ordered was Beef Stroganoff which could not be eaten. The owner was shown the issue with the meal and he agreed to remove it from our ticket. When paying for the dinner, the owner stated that the cook said he missed one of the three ingredients need to mix with the powder in order to make the sauce. If the cook that was cooking this evening was their normal cook, we will never return. I state cook, not chef, because a chef would not allow food like what we had leave their kitchen. Since reopening four years ago, service has been going downhill. We will not be returning again unless we start to hear positive changes."
