I used to visit 'Karls ' on a regular basis in the 70s. Then always a high standard. We visited on 12 November now not so good. The fish was Ok with nice crunch...

Recently been here for fish chips and peas.. 2 cod and one small cod. Cooked fresh but very tasteless food. Shop itself looks shabby and grimy. Will not be back...

"Visiting my home town after 40 years away and a nice surprise to see things I still recognised as well as things new. Thaidee was one of the new things and what a nice surprise. The food was excellent, with wonderful flavours and fresh ingredients. I settled for a change cken and coconut flavoured soup for a starter followed by a green curry. Both perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and great company answering questions about the food and listening to my reminiscing about the town I left in the 1980s. The restaurant also serves take away food, but I will be returning to eat at their tables. "Top notch food and service as always, excellent beer choice and even better quality served by The Landlord, who knows a thing or two about quality Ales. We did however struggle to get a taxi, no problem at all as The Landlord drove us back to Denbigh himself gratis.. Beautiful setting highly recommended.."

"Service appalling. Woman who owns it is rude. Staff are sitting around doing nothing. Drinks take 15 minutes to come to the table. Food was over cooked and microwaved, not much was fresh at all. Wont be coming back!! Avoid"

"Popped in for lunch while on holiday, just passing by. Would definitely recommend. Lovely friendly service, good quality, tasty, fresh food and generous portions. Didn't have room, but their selection of cakes looked tasty too. Added bonus for us aquatic hobbyists is their fabulous selection...of fish tanks dotted around the restaurant, lovely to see such variety in clean and well kept condition."
