"Due to covid restrictions the restaurant is only supplying pre prepared takeaway meals, but what a treat. Simple re heat instructions left us with a superb meal for two, of five star quality, for less than thirty pounds. I have no idea how they do it.If you're considering a takeaway, give it a try, you're in for a real treat. Many thanks to staff at On the Hill."

"Visiting my home town after 40 years away and a nice surprise to see things I still recognised as well as things new. Thaidee was one of the new things and what a nice surprise. The food was excellent, with wonderful flavours and fresh ingredients. I settled for a change cken and coconut flavoured soup for a starter followed by a green curry. Both perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and great company answering questions about the food and listening to my reminiscing about the town I left in the 1980s. The restaurant also serves take away food, but I will be returning to eat at their tables. "5 star! Heck yes! I’ve never seen anywhere like it being served clotted cream and jam all full to the brim in their containers and they do believe that scones are warm. Service; a tip is to make your reservation for an indoor table. Otherwise , if like us u drove all the way from Chester wanting to sample menu, we were not easily put off when the server said there was no table available. The weather was on our side and noticing outdoor seating we said we were happy to be sat there as all we wanted was tea and scones and the works that come with it. This year, out of all we had , this cafe has the best."
