Hessen Haus - Des Moines

What Julie Mijatovich likes about Hessen Haus:
We have eaten here years ago while traveling through and they did not disappoint again. My schnitzel first came out burnt but quickly asked for it to be replaced and wow it was amazing. Potatoes were a little cool but salad was great. Husbands knockwurst was fantastic. We had the large pretzel and was perfect! Can you say leftovers! View all feedback.

What Jürgen Lobert doesn't like about Hessen Haus:
If you are curious about the German theme, or better yet, you like German beers, this is a good place. If you want authentic German food, you will be disappointed. I had the two sausage platter and the Knockwurst came cut in half and fried! (Hint: it's supposed to be whole and steamed in hot water, nothing else).
