What Becky D doesn't like about The Crown, South Moreton:
It's a beautiful pub but our dining experience was not great. Ham egg and chips, the egg and chips were both underdone, left us feeling greasy for the rest of the day. Service was very average too, shame as the pub is gorgeous. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 read more.

"This is one of my favorite places in oxford, right in the heart of the cowley road – one of the most lively. I was here often for some great Arabic coffee and delicious baklava, but finally I felt compelled to try one of their main things. my only regret is that I didn't do it earlier! I had the kofta and can't wait to go to another. delicious lamb meatballs served with potato, tomato sauce and crumb infused brot."

"I asked the woman at the till if the restaurant was halal. She kindly answered a yes. I trusted her so I ate the chicken options which she confirmed were halal. What really worried me was the fact that I didn't see any halal certification or ask if there was any alchohol in some of their food. It was a delicious experience however and the food was well made and fresh. It was great and all, I'm just not sure if I was allowed to actually eat the food I never took a picture sorry"
