"The inn is very quiet on a small lake. The staff is very friendly and knows the menu. As an appetizer there was a tomato soup that was delicious. The main foods were also very good, only the beef of Cordon Bleu was very hard. After the complaint, Cordon Bleu, including potato salad and mixed salad, was removed several times and offered to the house a dessert. This really impressed me because the salads were really delicious and speaks for an excellent service. We like to come back!"

"Great atmosphere, the staff always make us feel extremely welcome. We visit every time we travel to Europe. Portion size is awesome! I've never left the restaurant unsatisfied. What I like most is the quality of the food, it's not microwaved, frozen, mass produced stuff....it...is homemade. The restaurant is definitely in need of a remodeling, looks very old and dated but still has the charm of being located in the center of Bad Windsheim. Simply, great food, great people and great value."

"The restaurant came highly recommended by some colleagues so we took the opportunity try it to celebrate our anniversary. Decor is simple, and comfortable. The service was attentive, friendly and unrushed, so we could spend a relaxed evening together without the concern we had to leave by a certain time. We later found out the staff were family members of the chef himself- so a true family affair. The menu was small but with sufficient variety to appeal to meat lovers or vegetarians alike. Although was a seasonal menu looked good we made choices from the a la carte menu. I particularly liked that with each option there was suggested wine to pair with it so I got to enjoy 3 super wines. All 3 were excellent choices and went well with the meal. It's worth mentioning that the chef also came out at the end of the evening and chatted briefly with his guests,this was a nice personal touch. Finally price is on the higher side but we felt reasonable considering the quality of the food and wine. We have determined to return in the near future when we have another celebration and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others looking to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and excellent food."
