"It consisted of a meal here at the first night of our stay based on the reviews I had previously read. my man had the Chinese new year special and I had the butternut squash pizza. while both were nice, they weren't very great. So I was a little disappointed to be honest."

"There is no doubt that the kitchen staff can cook, we were pleased with the cuisine. However, service could be friendlier and faster...we waited more than an hour between starter and main course, which is not acceptable, especially as there was no explanation for the delay or apology. We didn't see the waiter who was concentrating on the main dining area...it was like we had been forgotten. Limited opening times, but potentially a great restaurant if waiting staff could show a bit more enthusiasm and attention."

"Amazing fish and chips, with every Saturday GLUTEN FREE special. Staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about all their products. Fish is great, haddock and MSc certified Cod (even if I rather not eat cod as the stock is really low, something certification can 't change as of now). Fish batter both regular and gluten free were super crisp and light, with a great flavor. Onion rigs were superb and very fresh. They also have ice-cream but haven 't tried it. Looks great though. Get ur fish and walk 100m to the view point with the cannons, where there are benches and tables to eat your fish and chips with a view. All in all amazing experience, especially in a winter sunny day. Ps. Across the road you can buy a beer, cider or a locally roasted hot coffee at the gourmet pig to compete the meal or before the drive back home. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free fish and chips on Saturday for lunch. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"We ate at the restaurant last night, took my family after having previously visited the take away a few times. We just cannot fault the food. Crispy light batter as advertised, delicious tasty chips with some added extras. I tried the battered Mars bar and wow this with the ice cream and extras was fantastic. Great service, efficient, polite and the waitresses were so good at there jobs. We can't wait to eat here again soon. P.s Battered mince pie for Xmas (dad had) absolutely unbelievable Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
