What User doesn't like about Morung Restaurant:
When they first opened opposite Rajgarh Road, the renowned oldie-but-goodie China Town, it didn't seem like much. However, over time, the Nagas have proven to be a formidable competition for their Chinese neighbors. The aroma of roasted pork from their outdoor kitchen has lured in many customers. I have enjoyed dishes like pork with vegetables, pork with lai hak, and even a chicken cutlet made by a former cook from B... View all feedback.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, offering a mix of Naga ethnic, Indian, and Chinese dishes. The music adds to the overall ambiance and satisfaction is guaranteed.
The food is of decent quality and very affordable. The ambiance could be improved, but overall it's a good option if you're just looking to fill your stomach.
Excellent place to be if you want to try something exotic. One should try the pork with bamboo shoot (a local dish from Nagaland) and chowmein. Both the quality and quantity of the food is excellent. Other items are also very good. But one should always try the pork with bamboo shoot. The hospitality and the ambiance of the restaurant is awesome. If you are traveling to Guwahati you should visit Morung.
I discovered Morung at a Christmas time food carnival and instantly fell in love with their Barbeque chicken. Their version of Barbeque chicken is different from the red or brownish-red tandoori chicken or the western style BBQ chicken with brown basting sauce. Morung's is a version which way different with selects herbs , lightly spiced ... But a taste so grand that it sets itself apart from all the other BBQs in guwahati. You get the chicken pieces with juicy interiors. And the authentic taste of chicken is preserved. The dipping sauce or chutney is even more special - a tomato garlic chutney ... with a faint smoky flavour makes the chicken even more interesting. This chutney is so perfectly balanced that I rarely tasted such. I have been to Morung more than 5 times just for take away. In my last visit I happened to casually sample the chicken monos. And again it was a wow experience. The chicken inside was juicy and flaky unlike the other places where the chicken filling inside becomes a hard lump full of excess onion. The Momo wrap was also thin and soft.Keep it up Morung ! Amaze me again with something new !
