"It was quite an adventure walking 1 1/2 hour getting here in the dark. The sign on the main street wasn 't very visible, then the sign pointing to the alleyway with 50 meter written on it made us wander into someone 's backyard. It is...well beyond 100 meters into the dark alley and there will be another invisible sign at the restaurant. It was 9pm and dark and the sign said it was closed. My heart sank... I couldn 't give up just like that so I walked in to beg for some food. Luckily they were just getting ready to open. We sat down. Between the owner, owner 's wife, waitress and Google translator, we managed to order the wine, main course and desert. The appetizer plate was great and the main dish (braised beef and potatoes) was excellent. It almost felt like I was dining at my auntie 's home. The owners were very warm and kind! I loved the entire experience and would have to say it was the most memorable dinner in Argentina for me."

"We came to Chez Gaston for a cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat late morning. The place is stunning and has a really nice feeling to it but...and its a big but. The service is not what you would expect at such...a place. It started of with them having to see if there was room as we did not book...turned out that the place was not really busy but I suppose they are following protocol (unnecessary in my eye when its a big family and you are waiting at the entrance gate! . We ordered some coffee's, hot chocolates and 3 ham and cheese toasties and this must have taken around 20 odd minutes to have these served to us and when they were not a single one of our hot drinks was hot...we asked them about this and they said that it was due to their machine only being able to make two and a go...poor excuse as if this was the case they should have told us that they cant make 5 coffees and a hot chocolate in one go. Still the charm of the place is there and it certainly helps to make up for these simple things that they are missing out on. I's sure that they will soon have the staff up to scratch as they do aim to catch foreign tourists and they will demand the service and quality!"
