What roop298 doesn't like about Tara Lounge:
I went for a garlic chilli chicken. I don't think it was on the menu but I didn't really look. I asked for lots of fresh green chillis and a crispy garlic nan. I got salt preserved chillis that weren't particularly hot and a regular nan. I ate a neglected chilli of my mates plate that I assumed was going to be the same. "Coldish saturday afternoon in December. Every pub and bar in town was packed to overflowing, but this small pub, (micro pub really) sandwiched between two other pubs was quieter with spare seating. Started with a local brew, sat outside and conversed congenially with a local. Went inside for second drink. Fancied something different and asked if a wheat beer was available. The lady said no. A gent at the bar said they had Leffe if I wanted Belgian and pointed to a bottle on the shelf. Next to it I noticed a bottle of Blue Moon . I suggested this was in a wheat beer, but she was adamant it was not it was a white beer. I insisted and she inspected it and then agreed it was indeed wheat. She did apologise, but I was disappointed I had to tell her about her job. The beer was enjoyable. Did not eat, but looking at the blackboard I would say it was more light snacks than proper meals but prices looked ok."
