When the weather is good you can also eat and drink outside, and there is no-charge WiFi. The premises on site are accessible, and therefore no problem for clientele with wheelchairs or physical limitations.

What Neil S doesn't like about The Flying Childers:
Patronising, over officious bar maid who asked my daughter for ID 3 minutes after being id’s by the barman standing 1yard from her. Will stop at 2 pints rather than 10! read more.

In the morning, you can enjoy a diverse brunch at The Flying Childers, as much as you want, The barbecue is freshly cooked here on an open flame. At the bar, you can also relax after the meal (or during it) with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, this sports bar is a favourite among the customers, who enjoy not only the fantastic food and drinks, but also the opportunity to watch the latest games or races on the big screen.

Our local Since Marsden's took it over. Immaculate, great atmosphere, great food, warm, cosy, exquisite food and very cheap.

Full Menu

How nice that the menu here has so much to offer for its visitors has to offer. Especially since a warm and delicious soup can sometimes work miracles, Moreover, there are also scrumptious marinated Chicken-Wings on the menu - definitely a recommendation.

The current menu may be expanded on site to include seasonal specialties and weekly recommendations. In addition to a variety of dishes, the menu also offers a assortment of beverages and typical house dishes. "Coldish saturday afternoon in December. Every pub and bar in town was packed to overflowing, but this small pub, (micro pub really) sandwiched between two other pubs was quieter with spare seating. Started with a local brew, sat outside and conversed congenially with a local. Went inside for second drink. Fancied something different and asked if a wheat beer was available. The lady said no. A gent at the bar said they had Leffe if I wanted Belgian and pointed to a bottle on the shelf. Next to it I noticed a bottle of Blue Moon . I suggested this was in a wheat beer, but she was adamant it was not it was a white beer. I insisted and she inspected it and then agreed it was indeed wheat. She did apologise, but I was disappointed I had to tell her about her job. The beer was enjoyable. Did not eat, but looking at the blackboard I would say it was more light snacks than proper meals but prices looked ok."
