drive of montgomery to have just brunch and it was so worth it! I've been tracking kelsey since the chef chef and after alabama I knew I had to eat here. my spouse had never had red eye engraving (he is medium west) and his mind was blown. I could have taken a 5lb bucket home alone. bonus I ordered every cookie in the pastry case and ate later to house. we sat at the bar and the bartenders were great! love this place... What Holley R doesn't like about Kbc:
Second time at KBC. Last visit was exceptional. This time, not so much. The service was great, we experienced a brief wait but expected this. We ordered from the lunch menu as it was after one on Saturday. We ordered the Bees Knees with fries and vinegar slaw and a Mo burger sans bun. My sister enjoyed her burger bowl, said it was fire . My chicken sandwich was a huge disappointment. One, the chicken was in a finger... View all feedback.
Dorothy and I loved our early dinner. the cats and the salmon were amazing. michael our waiter suggested the cat and it was on the money. michael was pleasant and made an excellent job thank you!
As always KBC never disappoints. Brunch was delish. The hot honey chicken and waffles was AMAZING!! Gouda grits and steak and egg sandwich was great. Enough for my husband and myself to have the best of both worlds!
Absolutely amazing food!! The snapper was the best seafood dish I've ever had! The snapper cooked perfectly and that sauce was to die for. The Chicken Milanese was outstanding as well! Finished with a delicious bread pudding sundae! Somewhat pricey but worth every penny!!
Beautiful- Beautiful venue!! Laid back southern feel. Loved the decor, the exposed brick and picture filled walls really made it shine. Food was good enough for me to try them again. Rhe fried okra fries were amazing, tacos were okay, the Street has to grow on me. Server could have done way better at being attentive to our table, barely came around other than taking the orders and to drop off the food..
Gorgeous decor, and with the first visit didn’t realise we had to make reservations, so I made them for the next week. We were sat a bit later than the reservation time, which gave opportunity to view the menu, and placed the order as soon as we were sat. First drinks arrived within minutes, however the appetiser took about 20 minutes and the drinks weren’t refilled for about another 10 minutes. The deviled eggs were delicious and made the food to arrive very promising despite the wait. After waiting another 10ish minutes were told food would be on its way. About an hour after being seated the food arrived. The top of my pasta looked oily and congealed and I was worried that it had been sat out for a while, then simply reheated in a microwave. The first bite the pasta was complete mush, so unappealing I had to spit it back into the bowl. The burger that was ordered was dry and room temp, the bacon on it charred so badly it looked like a roofing shingle and was bitter. Even the side salad were just below room temperature. The waiter and the manager apologised and offered to make it right with something else from the menu, however, after so much anticipation and this severe let down I didn’t want a replacement that would require another hours potential wait. I did offer to pay for everything that had been presented but did make it clear that I was unhappy with the food, and that I would not be returning. They did remove the unsatisfactory items from the tab. However, any restaurant that wants to present a high calibre image, must in all services be on their best game. Such a sad let down from a place I was so excited for.
