What User doesn't like about Three Compasses:
Really disappointed with our meal, which was a birthday treat. The pork was dry, and the roast potatoes were so crispy there was nothing inside. Basically, the food lacked flavour and finesse, and we both left saying we would never return. What a pity. On...the plus side, the waiter was friendly and very attentive. View all feedback.

Had dinner for the first time at the Three Compasses last night. The menus is outstanding with the only issue being what to choose from such a gorgeous range. We were a party of four, made extremely welcome and the service was faultless. The ambience...is lovely and it has such a comfortable atmosphere. The food itself is amazing, beautifully cooked and extremely generous portions. To top it all, it is amazing value for money and we will certainly be returning.
We had a pre-Christmas family gathering and the staff were very welcoming. A great choice of starters and mains. My scallop starter was gorgeous as was the calf’s liver main course, then I couldn’t resist the peanut and chocolate cheesecake. All the group enjoyed their...meal too. We shall be returning!
Cosy sea-front restaurant with work by local artists on show; dishes rich and copious, very accurately cooked using excellent local and seasonal ingredients. Decent wine not greedily priced.
Staff very welcoming, food is excellent, my wife and I have been dining at this restaurant for many years now and it never lets us down .
