To start off I got the calamari which was definitely frozen wasn't bad. Then I ordered the turkey dinner which was really good I did like it. The server slash bartender was excellent. Food there is okay prime rib not my favorite I've had much better go there once in a great while not my favorite place. We go to a lot of different restaurants. Strafford Farms would be last on the choice list. View all feedback.
What ModernWanderers doesn't like about The Loft At Strafford Farms:
There didn’t appear to be much in the way of food options within walking distance from our hotel, so a couple of friends and I came here. The menu was extensive, but it took a little while for us to be served. Staff were nice enough, if not overly keen nor enthusiastic, and I don’t recall them smiling once. Our food was finally served — the veggie stir-fry looked and smelt good (but my friend said it was more like so... View all feedback.
Half an hour waiting for our food. We got our orders before our actual meals even came out (as 15 minutes after our order). The orders were wrong. The waitress was completely miserable. So miserable that I felt bad for her. She didn't even smile, she was rude and seemed to be there. After working in restaurants before, I know how hard it can be so that I always give the advantage of doubt. However, this was not our first culinary experience with her and the impression was the same this time. I think this restaurant could be a bit more successful with a MUCH smaller, focused menu and a change of waiting staff. The menu is too overwhelming for the guests, so I think it is just as overwhelming for the cook(s). I spoke my concerns about the phone with the manager and to treat them very pleasantly. This place (Strafford Farms) has long been there, so I hope they can take the appropriate measures to stay in business.
A great little pub to which many people go in the area. A meeting place. Good food, good beer.
Dry food.. heated in microwave or felt it. Pie was rough. Server wS nicely cheerful and fast.
Great place to hang up, but always I eat, it reminds me why I don't want food there to be a little better
Mother?s Day at the Loft was absolute chaos! We arrived on time. Walked into the Loft through and passed the buffet line. Three waitresses were in discussion at the end of the bar when I interrupted. Cassie was our waitress and under the circumstances did a great job but she had too much to do. At one point she actually had to run downstairs to get more plates. The food was good but the eggs and French toast was cold as was the eggs Benedict. The fruit bowl was empty and there were no small bowls for it. The beans and strawberries were hot. I went back to the buffet but there was nothing refilled but a waitress said to other customers that refills of the food trays would be soon. Ten minutes later nothing had happened. In summary, the wait staff should be commended for their hard work. They were apparently understaffed . The food that we were fortunate to get was good but cold. It was a very memorable Mother?s Day
