this carluccis closes after this weekend. it was great because they were sitting 10 of us when we first expected only 6. the waiter was attentive. some of the entries were excellent, mine was okay. the meatballs are not as good as in other restaurants, and I had to have them heated. but the waiter has done this right away, not asked. What Vernice Predovic doesn't like about Carlucci Downers Grove:
The food was good, we had the pork chop and the Parmesan linguini. The prosciutto with the linguine seemed more like sliced ham, so we did not eat it. Also the bread that they brought to the table was hard and stale, and so was the next batch. For the type of restaurant and prices I expected a bit more from the service too. This restaurant is closing on February 18 as the property has been sold to Coopers Hawk, who will build an entirely new restaurant on the site to open in 2019.
We hate to see you close. Have really enjoyed your restaurant.

The current menu may be expanded on site to include seasonal specialties and weekly recommendations. In addition to a variety of meals, the card also offers a selection of beverages and typical house dishes. Additionally, the menu also takes into account dishes and ingredients that have been commendably highlighted by guests, even if these have not yet been entered.
