Carolaschlösschen - Dresden

This was not a very good experience. First, when we tried to make a reservation, almost all time slots appeared full, so we were forced to take one that was not the best for us. However, when we arrived there we found that many tables were empty. Second, we respected the signs in the entrance saying that we should wait to be sitted, but another couple that arrived after us did not. They went in and stand before the only free table in the first row facing the lake here I must say that the highlight of this place, and the reason for us going, is the sitting in front of a lake. When the young waitress finally came to bring us in, she offered a table in the sun; we told her that we had a reservation and that we had arrived first, so we wanted the table in the shadow that was in front of the lake. Her answer was rather surprising: as we had a reservation, we had to sit in the table assigned; otherwise, we should sit in the second raw. And have this: according to her, as the other couple did not make a reservation, they could sit wherever they wanted. What??? In which universe not having a reservation gives you a privilege over those having one? In any case, we sitted in the second raw but after that we were of course somewhat bittered and in notsogood mood. The food was ok, but we did not enjoy the experience. If that is really their policy, they should change it right away

A visit to the Carolaschlösschen was just great! Nice service forces, attentive but not intrusive. Price performance is okay and everyone liked it

Great location, great preparation for the reservation comments. However, many different motivated waiters and high prices. As a family, you can really only do it on special occasions

The CarolaSchlösschen is a really great location in the middle of the Great Garden of Dresden. The food was very good, the service extremely friendly and courteous. What we didn't know was that there is always an after-work party on Thursday. So the music level was relatively high. But otherwise: we'd love to come back

Due to its location in the large garden, it is a good starting point for events in the palace
