"This was my second visit to cafe velo. I came back because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Really lovely, friendly staff and fast service. Coffee was AMAZING. Just had a slice of cake with it this time. Nabbed the sofa in the window and it was so comfy, I wasn't sure that I'd be able to get out again. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Beverley."

"We came yesterday.Avoid chef was very disrespectful. Avoid at all cost we came in without booking, And was greeted respectfully, but then it went all down hill food was rubbish under cooked and raw we came 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday, it was really nice cooked well and well presented. we enjoyed it but today, was not good if it was a different chef please sort . "First time visiting today and was so happy we did. The young lady was kind and pleasant and very accommodating our dog was looked after with fresh bowl of water. The food was gorgeous hubby said one of the best burgers he's had in a pub in a long time. I ordered roast beef Sunday lunch was asked how I wanted my meat cooked but unfortunately it was quite ready so went for my second option of the chicken and leek pie and wasn't disappointed. We will be returning"

"Enjoyable experience of entry, attentive cheerful staff and excellent food. Salad bar with a wide selection of delicious dishes. Staff come to your table with spits of delicious meat, beef, chicken, gammon and even pineapple. Wines to average restaurant prices and dinner a very reasonable £20. Will definitely return."

"We visited Foxhounds for the first time in over a year. After reading the recent TripAdvisor reviews we nearly didn't bother, but decided to chance it, as its always been good before. I am so glad we decided to go. We had really good service,...we hadn't booked a table, but got seated straight away. We had sizzling platers and cornflake deserts. The food was amazing, service and general cleanliness were great and I look forward to returning again soon"

"We had a family gathering. The staff were very welcoming, helpful over menu choices, and pleasant throughout the meal. They were attentive but not overbearing. The menu choices were excellent. I had beer battered scampi as starter followed by sea bass (which was on the specials menu. My desert was lemon meringue roulade drizzled with chocolate sauce. All delicious. Prices were good. I highly recommend this restaurant."
