I had recently dinner in el rey and I thought the meal was good and the service was friendly and helpful. Typical Tex-Mex menu, the chicken frogs were really good. my only complaining was the salsa was excessively hot and I notice that other diners made this note. I would give 0 stars if I could. most Mexican/Tex-Mex that I had ever. top shelf rita’s tasty watered stale, although I saw the bartender make it. queso is simply melted with milk in it. we had the enchiladas al carbon, which was packed overcooked bark fajita in a flour tortilla with melted Cheddar cheese. I feel bad when I use such a low rating, but there was no effort in the drinks that shows. View all feedback.
Best Mexican food, especially breakfast, in Hill Country! Try it out that you love it. Migas Compruestas are the best breakfast I ever had in Austin.
It was a second trip. The first was last Thanksgiving when the local couple brought us there...so this year when it's in the area a must-go trip..The hot sauce...
