The Lord Edward - Dublin

Love above for groups, or the somewhat hidden temples below. I have always visited in a group and there was usually a good selection of other clusters of people around, but that was always in the evening, can not speak the day.

This is a classic Irish local pub yet in the most touristy of areas. Once inside you instantly feel like you are away from tourist mania. Super friendly people and staff here, great brews and great service. This was our everyday go to pub, loved it and miss it!!

Small, lovely pub next to the Jury Inn hotel and right in front of the Christ Church Cathedral. Not touristic at all, absolutely Irish, plenty of choice for beer and whiskey, friendly bartenders, no music, so you can think and talk and enjoy your time. Traditional and as original as it gets. Here's for this place to keep its spirit. Wonderful experience, will definitely come back the next time.

This place is at the end of the block from our hotel and so we were excited that we could come here and have a drink before bedtime. BTW, it's 9:00 PM and still light out here. No Lord Edward has nothing to do with this but had to vent. Super tired after a 22 hour trip with little to no sleep [on the plane] and want to sleep but it's light outside, what gives? So, there was a little confusion because prior to us coming we had read that Lord Edwards was closed. Apparently only the restaurant. They did have some advertising for a grilled toast but they did not have any. I wanted to go to the famous Fish and Chips place next door but was told that the owner doesn't allow that. Doesn't make sense since they don't have anything but we still had a great time. The boys and I are easy but the girls really liked the ginger ale and Jameson. They get a little bottle of ginger ale which allows them to mix it to strength. Service was great and we will probably be back before we leave Thursday.... probably every night.
