I love this place! Servers were very nice and helpful. Table and bench were cleaned and sanitary before I sat. Eating was a bit dry, but tasted pretty good. You can say who the regulars are at a glance and there were many of them! Customers pass and shoot the breeze with you, even if it is your first time there. I'm going out to make this a big bonus for me. I do not recommend introverted or people who want to eat on... View all feedback.
What Emil Rolfson doesn't like about Dottie's Cafe:
We stayed at the Holiday Inn, which was just a short walk from the restaurant. The interior was charming, but the service was lacking. Our waitress had a pleasant demeanor, but was somewhat rude. Our drink order was incorrect and we had to flag her down to get the correct drinks. She did not seem pleased about the mistake. The food was subpar at best. View all feedback.
All I can say is mayberry. where is barney and the sheriff. all seriousness eating was simple, fresh and fantastic. led with love from the excellent waiting staff in dubuque. I'm going back, but I don't know when!
We were visiting Dubuque from Atlanta and had a lovely breakfast with my aunt and uncle here. Great food, great service. Wish I could go more often!
Debra is the best server in town. Love this little gem of Dubuque. Stop if your in the area for breakfast. Act fast because seating is limited.
Stopped at Dottie's for lunch while we were in town for spring break. Atmosphere, food, and service were awesome! If you want some small town charm, give it a try!
Peggy is kind and a great server. The food is good and affordable. They're not trying to be an artisan cafe with $10 egg sandwiches, it's simple and quiet. It's nice to have a timeless place like Dottie's.
