Perfect dining experience! Breathtaking soundfront view, excellent food options, and extensive wine list. Bryan was an exceptional server—very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Aqua has been added to our list of must dine restaurants at OBX. View all feedback.
What Oleta Boyer doesn't like about Aqua:
Seated next to bar, where singer performing. While we enjoy music, it was too load for us to have a quiet, romantic meal. One meal was good (tuna special). The other wasn't (No Substitute rule negated swapping carbs with veggies). Waiter talked me into the Allergy Plate. Big mistake. Sauce overpowered veggies and salmon which was to be encrusted in pistachios was plain, little flavor, and dry. Wish I'd stuck with my... View all feedback.

Overall food was very good. Waitress was good except for one minor error. She said our bread was coming out shortly. We were eating our meal before we realized we never got it so at that point did not say anything. Our table not the best location as it was located very close to restrooms so constant flow of people walking past our table. Overall nice place !
First, many thanks to our server Page, who was very engaging and efficient. We enjoyed having her interact with us! The food was overall very good, with the exception of the chef's special grouper which, to my palate and past experience with that fish, was slightly overcooked and chewy. The flavor, however, was quite good. The view of the sound was quite beautiful and added to the overall ambience of the restaurant.
The mani pedi service was great, and the water view during services is so relaxing.
We had a great meal at Aqua...great food, great service (thanks, Paige! and great seating along a window where we could watch the sunset. Although everyone seemed to love what they ordered, I can only speak for myself. The Whipped Goat Cheese Dip with pita was a great start to the meal and the Shrimp Grits were even better than I had hoped for. I would order both again in a heartbeat. Others in our party ordered the Tuna, Duck Breast, Seafood Pasta Carbonara and Stuffed Pepper and all were pleased. The peanut butter pie was a great way to end the meal as well. The restaurant is a bit pricey but I can't say it's not worth it...we will definitely be back.
