Great place. Lots of taps for beers of any size pours. About 10 good IPAs in ****, most of NC local areas. No food except a few cans of $7 peanuts. No outdoor seating area, but Duck NC law is that you drink/go to the public, but cannot enter or leave an establishment with an open container. Large selection of cold and warm beer to go. Fill every grower. A great business model. View all feedback.
My new favorite place in OBX. Love how they serve only local beer.
June 10th, 2022 I was in awe walking into this place, it was like a pet store for local brewing. More than forty flavors on tap and more in cans bottles ready for you to take them home! I found a Tropical Pineapple Cider that was outstanding from Flat Top. I had a surf board with 4 samplings. I got the cider, a blonde, a red, and a coffee. If you are in search of a new drink or just wanna see what's new check out either location; Duck or Kitty Hawk. If you're in Duck say hello to Austin for me... she's super nice, easy to chat with, and super knowledgeable!
So while I love craft beer and breweries, when I 'm at the beach craft beer is not a top priority I 'm going to have a few drinks on the beach of course but the order of business for said beer is (a) cheap; (b) not too dehydrating; and (3) crisp/refreshing. My favorite crafts are usually either hoppy IPAs or creamy stouts (with the occasional sour or scotch ale thrown in for variety). But on the beach? Give me a sixer of light domestic as that 's the only time such beer really, really hits the spot. Ramble over an evening on the beach is different as a cocktail or a craft beer is MORE than welcome. My brother really wanted to try a few local brews and is a s for a flight. He missed my trip to the local Lost River Tavern/Brewery (which rules) but we were staying near Growlers to Go and he had his mind made up to try it out all week. We each tried a flight of beers, each one we sampled was good. I stuck to mostly IPAs brewed in NC, and all were good. Pours for flights are like 4 oz (x5) for less than $10. Pints are CHEAP. Growlers, pints, cans, or bottles to go very fairly priced. Super friendly service. A small but decent selection of premium cigars as well. There isn 't any outdoor seating and indoor seating is sparse, though there is a bar you can stand at. Worth a stop if you 're a beer lover, but not a place to camp out and talk for very long.
Great place to sample a bunch of local beers in a flight. Good selection of beers to go as well. It's the only place in Duck with a large local selection with knowledgeable and friendly staff
Overall really good experience, great beer selection. Good to see that dark beers aren 't extinct in the summer here. Huge selection of bottles, and surprisingly a ton (30+ beer taps on draft. Make your own 6 pack if you can 't commit to just one pack of beer, go for a mix and try a few.And apparently they have a 16oz glass growler to go, per the sign completely legal so I guess you could take it and drink your beer down the sidewalk. Would highly recommend if you want to try great local, and small batch craft beers.
