We took a drive out from Dumfries round Glencairn to Moniaive where we stopped for a wander in the late summer sunshine. Decided to pop in to GlenWhisk café as it was dog friendly. It doesn't look like much from the main street but inside is spacious and there is a large outdoor seating area as well. Truly awfull experience, visited with friends on a Saturday lunchtime, staff were very unwelcoming and standoffish, hot chocolate had to be sent back as it was served lukewarm. Mac'n'cheese was ok but came with nothing else just a bowl of mac n cheese served in a white bowl. Chilli and rice was horrid.. tasteless, lacked any body and quite sour.
