"Great atmosphere for an intimate wedding. The reception staff were wonderful. The wedding package with the meal afterwards was beautiful. Sadly the restaurant staff, the evening before the wedding were not so welcoming or friendly. Notwithstanding, we enjoyed our 2 night stay at Gretna Hall. Nearby activities: Beautifully tucked away in lidh green countryside, yet just a few minutes away by car to local petrol station with shop and a retail park."

"Beautiful and recently renovated pub restaurant in a cute little village not far from the M6/A74 (2 min. from the on/off ramp.) we were looking for a dog friendly place to have dinner with my mother and my spaniel and this place has crossed all boxes. the menu was so diverse (although a feedback is, it could do with a few more vegetarian options) and that was delicious! we had to call in advance as the kitchen was technically closed before our arrival, but that was no problem and they were incredibly friendly and flexible. all the workers we met at the station were absolutely fantastic; the service was amazing and they were all so courteous and beautiful. my dog riley got tasty bites, a water dish and cuddle by several workers who made our evening meal all the more beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives or goes through the opposite (especially if they have a dog"

"Warm welcome on arrival, bedroom was immaculately clean, modern and lots of nice touches such as; welcome treats, Nespresso Machine, free bottled water etc., The Bathroom itself was equally modern, with gorgeous smelling organic bathroom products, thick fluffy towels and dressing gowns. The whole Inn...had a very well kept feel about it, the staff were so efficient and the views from it were magnificent. The Evening Meal, the tasting menu, was an absolute delight from start to finish. Although it was classed as a course tasting menu, with all the in between courses e.g, canapes, amuse bouche etc., in total we had courses. Watching the Chefs at work from the dinning area was a nice touch too. Chefs Michelin plate is indeed well deserved!! We will be back it is not often I am able to say that. Thank you Pentonbridge Inn."

"The chef is a young (a compliment) the staff was fantastic even tonight, the type called gaz and there was a girl, but I did not get her name. I was at hidden river cabins and I ate in and around the opposite. the robin hood inn is absolutely fantastic for eating, ambiente and personal. When I left, I went with a group of 5 and took the lab as his dog friendly. inside is very cozy and slightly rustic in layout. there was a menu with the exit, in the house menu and in special. we were allowed to dispose any menu. I went for scallops from the special board, the torte (lamb and black pudding), from the take-out menu and sticky toffee pudding for dessert on the normal menu. the starter was absolutely fantastic, the skalopp was boiled to perfection, it was with black garlic sauce that the skallop very well completed. the cake should be bark or something, even though they had run out. the cook offered to make me and 2 others his award-winning lamb and black pudding pea that came with maic or a kind of chips; I had thin chips, the other maic. I can not recommend the cake enough, the cook made it from scratch for us and it was by far the best cake ever eaten. the taste was fantastic and balanced very good. the teig was ideal, no soggy soil and perfectly crispy. the others were also looked fantastic! the dessert was also absolutely fantastic and by far the best sticky toffee pudding that I had ever had! at the end the waiter gave us a homemade chocolate that I would like to buy, I cannot recommend this place enough if I live closer I would go at least a week! absolutely fantastic, probably the best I had for a long time! the price is also very reasonable for the quality and quantity!"
