We.visited this town as we had never been before and came upon this pub.i wasnt bothered about eating here but so glad i did the fish pie was lovely with big chunks of salmon and cod,prawns and musssels. I had ginger cake with custard for dessert which again was lovely..no regrets and reasonably priced too read more.

The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and be served in nice weather, and there is free WLAN.

Went to volunteer arms for food. Black pudding sausage stories portion could not have been any smaller, if there was any black pudding in it I couldn't taste it. Overall very very disappointing. Fish pie was more like fish soup, but it did have a reasonable amount of fish, vegetables consisted of 2 small florets of broccoli, 1 small desert spoon of turnip and 4 green beans. Had to go for a burger to fill up. read more.
