Without a doubt one of the best places on Vancouver Island to buy local fish. I bought tuna stake, smoked coho and smoked tuna, crab cakes: DELICIOUS.

"The food is delicious and all organic, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the vibe is so full of life and community. The Garage is a dearly beloved local spot, and for good reasons. The cafe is really a bustling centre-point of the Cowichan community, and there is always something new to try, always an interesting conversation to be had in the beautiful new seating area at the back of the restaurant. The Garage is reminiscent of European-style indoor markets, with a bookstore, art gallery and salon space sharing the building. Thank you to all of the dedicated hardworking folks who provide such an essential offering to our community, we love you guys!"

"Great experience! Have been here twice now. The pho was delicious! The service was excellent. The owner I think came out both times and checked on us and everyone was friendly. Restaurant was clean. Would highly recommend to everyone."

"Great pub food. Craft beer made on site. What more to say? Super service - friendly and attentive, but not your 'overly friendly, can I sit at your table' type of service. I have not had a bad meal here even though I've eaten here many times. The rooftop patio is great on a nice day too. In the winter the seats by the wood burning fireplace are a premium. In short. Visit here when in Duncan. If it is full try the adjacent sister restaurant, Just Jakes. Same menu and same great service."
