Been burdens of times, always great service. Pool competitions are great, staff are solid and the owner is a legend.
Amazing wee pool lounge to go and play for an hour or a few. Drinks generally always available aswell as relatively decent pricings.
Great pool hall, and a top place to bring the family fora cheap activity.
Great atmosphere, great people, so friendly, meals are top notch, tasty, steak was perfect cooking

"Our first go at this fine eatery located in a fabulous building in our pretty city. The girls get along with the cocktails list moving upwards one cocktail at a time. Lots of laughters and gossips have a hint that the cocktails were yumm and they were doing their job. Somehow we felt that the tall, bare brick wall needed a painting. Perhaps the upbeat ,usic also felt slightly out of place. The food was fantastic. As you come to expect from these fine dining places, each meal has several components, complimenting each other with flavours and textures. Charred pumpkin, battered cauliflower, duck breast, fillet steak and the sweet course of sorbet were all high quality. Our friends felt that sous vide meat loses its texture comapred to cooking steak on a pan, hence they weren't a huge fan. The vegetarian guest felt her jackfruit lacked some flavours. Overall, a fantastic first experience and we all agreed we will be back for more."

"The burger was great. The loaded fries are out of this world, well cooked and perfect amount of topping ! The coliflower was out of this world! So great, crunchy and tasty! Definitely would go again"

"We enjoyed every aspect of our experience here. Sitting in the conservatory was a real treat on a cool day. The staff are vegan savvy and understand their vegan menu. Hubby had the jackfruit BBQ roti; I had the banana flower 'fish ' and chips. Both were amazing! Vegan wines and desserts available."

"Great atmosphere mixing bar and restaurant. Good for (large) groups would probably not go alone. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. I had the fish and chips. Well located between the city and the University."

"Having made our reservation on line, based on reviews of 1908 Cafe Restaurant, we found that dining there was all, if not more than we expected.<br/ <br/ The menu was excellent and dishes well presented, along with friendly service. Next trip to Dunedin we will be back."

"Taste: 5/5 Price: Atmosphere: 5/5 I had the 250g ribeye with honey mustard and mushroom suj, followed by the “Nanna rice pudding”, both were amazing, especially the steak. The short ribs and especially the pecan tart were also really delicious. The cauliflower was good, but not writing at home. I also had the "Adam and Eva" cocktail, which was expensive for just a little liquid, although it really tasted good. Amazing atmosphere, definitely for a fine dining service."
