Based on the average rating of 4.1, the The Maharajas is definitely worth a visit.

What User likes about The Maharajas:
Another delicious meal in the Maharajas. After trying some other Indian restaurant in Dunedin, I have to say that they do the best Indian food I ever had in New Zealand. Can be highly recommended. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about The Maharajas:
The chicken biryani was very salty and just another spicy version of fried rice. This is far from those that I had tried before. The naan is good on its own, but would be better if it comes with curry. View all feedback.

"Our first go at this fine eatery located in a fabulous building in our pretty city. The girls get along with the cocktails list moving upwards one cocktail at a time. Lots of laughters and gossips have a hint that the cocktails were yumm and they were doing their job. Somehow we felt that the tall, bare brick wall needed a painting. Perhaps the upbeat ,usic also felt slightly out of place. The food was fantastic. As you come to expect from these fine dining places, each meal has several components, complimenting each other with flavours and textures. Charred pumpkin, battered cauliflower, duck breast, fillet steak and the sweet course of sorbet were all high quality. Our friends felt that sous vide meat loses its texture comapred to cooking steak on a pan, hence they weren't a huge fan. The vegetarian guest felt her jackfruit lacked some flavours. Overall, a fantastic first experience and we all agreed we will be back for more."
