"We dropped in for bite n were v happy with food n service..I had roast beef for lunch n lads had home made soup n goats cheese..I also took home few fresh scones..I liked the local artwork on walls also..no bother with parking n John the owner came over during the meal to ask if everything was OK.. it had been recommended by our son."

I got vegetable spring rolls and found 4 small rolls with a tiny bit of sweet and sour dip for €5.45 too pricey. Had boiled rice and stir fry vegetables. The vegetables were fresh but literally swam in some brown soy? Water. Quite disappointed and won't be ordering again. Not a patch on lockdown quality. "La Fontana is an excellent restaurant in Waterford, not too far from the theatre. The food, especially the Tagliatelle Bolognese was superb, possibly the best I’ve ever had. We had the house wines and they also were very good, and a generous pour at that. The staff were also so friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving Italian food as we were at the end of our journey to Ireland."
