"I'm almost giddy thinking back on the epic meal we just had at this place and are already planning a trip back. There aren't many places we add to our repeat list but this one made it. It's rare that I've been more impressed with a meal. It all starts and ends with the geniuses at the bar who mix some of the most epic concoctions. From there, the menu isn't overflowing with options, mind you, but there's a reason: every dish we had was perfection and unique to the in season ingredients. The magic and care the chefs put towards their dishes is evident in every bite. We were blown away by the crusty bread and local cheese charcuterie and followed that up with a new fave of mine: the pork shoulder first course. The scallop and double cut pork chop main courses were both memorable, as was their outstanding and interesting wine list that added lots of depth to the already amazing food dishes. What a gem in Chapel Hill."

"That was divine. the service was impeccable. everything was clearly thought about the food experience. the personal was friendly and attentive. we were helped with the pairing of hearts, and even our opinion about a dish the kitchen tried out. highly recommended. would like to add a menu option either to animal or build their own lists that would welcome a humble price point and options to try new dinge/come in more often."

"The fairview dining room is one of the most elegant and most delicious places to eat that we have ever enjoyed. we have joined our friends to celebrate my 74th birthday on Monday night. we all had different enticings and shaved about how good everything was during the meal. our server, jasmine, was so sweet, charming and competent to take care of us. she really worked with the birthday party vibe, and we enjoyed several fun exchanges of charming talk with her. Because all the servers support each other, we had the opportunity to meet the rest of the servier team, all equally charming and helpful for jasmine and us. we call the washington duke inn our happy place and often visit our home in williamsburg, va. can not wait to come back. I'm not here."

"OK this place is great!The atmosphere is one of the coolest places that I have gone in the Durham Chapel Hill area. Tons of fire pits, lots of heaters, gigantic huge screens to watch any game that you could imagine, and Christmas lights galore. You actually felt like you were in some kind of unearthly Christmas movie in the middle of the city. The pizzas looked amazing although we did not try them. You can actually get s'mores and hot cider which is way cool especially since we went with underage children. And the beers were good. I might've chosen wrong on my flights. Even with the beers that I being 50-50 I would go back again and again. I was even willing to buy a T-shirt, but they didn't have my size. And that says a lot if I want to buy a T-shirt from all a brewery. You definitely need to check this place out! And let's give it five stars for the coolest mascot ever at a brewery!"
