"Me and three of my friends ate here during an overnight stay in Durham. We were waited on by a gentleman called Adam, he was a lovely guy, very chatty and extremely helpful. The food was all lovely and the service was brilliant. Adam was a lovely guy and we all wish him the best in his future."

"I loved the vibe by the river. Good service. I tried the Veggie breakfast with scrambled eggs the Cappuccino, loved both. Need to add more options in the breakfast menu, like cut fruits, etc."

"From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with smiles from the FoH and the Kitchen. The service is always on point and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is my third/fourth time (pre refurb visiting P&L. The mood and setting was perfect for the occasion and the food delivered on their Xmas festive menu and then some. Variety of dishes (12/13 was superb and the flavours and textures didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back again and won’t be leaving it so long next time :"

"I’d heard great things about the French Quarter and booked a table for Thursday evening. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was great, planche mixte and pil pil prawns, staff friendly and knowledgeable, great house wine and desserts really good too. We’d had such a brilliant meal that we decided to try and book again on Friday evening , luckily we got the last 2 seats at the bar. This time I had the mussels, best I’ve ever eaten, and my husband decided to have the planche mixte again! Superb food, lovely ambience and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to return"
