"There were just a handful of diners for our lunch time meal at the Clockspire which has a large open dining room. The cavernous space was cold and lacked atmosphere, exacerbated by so few fellow travellers. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen offers fine dining and yet most of our dishes were over seasoned with salt very prominent. Portions were tiny and relatively expensive, as were wines. Overall the restaurant fails to offer value for money, and we are unlikely to return in the near future. "Not to blame. devine eating with delicious aromas, a bottle of local dry white wine was beautiful, personal were very attentive. Nice that we found this little jewel. I can't wait to go back."

"Food was bad, most of the starter dishes pre cooked and appear at your table in 2-3 minutes. Lamb was terrible, wine list is pretty bad. Tiramisu was made by somebody who never ate a tiramisu before. No idea why this place has good ratings. Just avoid. We spent couple of hundred pounds for dinner and the experience was like visiting a burger stand at the mall."

"Absolutely excellent, visited several times during our stay. Great food and very friendly staff. Music night was good fun. Food is amazing, go in hungry cause the portions are very generous. Sunday lunch is superb with loads of choices. Pub is spotlessly clean. A must...visit."
