To die for—would give it a 11/5 if I could. Best Jewish Deli in Boston by a long shot. Knew this would be legit as soon as we spotted the Dr. Browns, and we were not disappointed. If you don’t stop here when you’re in the area, you are missing out!! View all feedback.
What Peg Walsh doesn't like about Michael's Deli In Brookl:
Disappointed. Splurged on a hot pastrami with mustard, cheese on rye, asked for it toasted. $16. Not toasted, soggy bread-think it was microwaved to melt the cheese. Will not go back. View all feedback.
Best place for a sandwich! Any sandwich you get is going to be delicious, and it's a true local business!
Best place for a great sandwich. Thank you very much
My parents were in town from Alabama. My dad and mom grew up and worked in NYC and Chicago. If asked where he wants to eat it’s always at a deli. We went to Micheal’s Deli yesterday and I was able to get my dad and mom a yummy , nostalgic and satisfying meal. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful . The food was DELICIOUS!! We highly recommend…
Cash only, but amazing deli! The Reuben brings me back monthly. Michael’s is small and narrow, but everything is fresh and delicious. Michael is quite the character, friendly, always chiding his smiling cooks and digging the boomer music. One day I enjoyed my sandwich to the ancient 70’s progressive rock band, Yes. A live version of their Tales from Topographic Oceans! Truly original, Michael’s doesn’t disappoint. Old BCN news guy Henry Santoro turned me in to Michael’s, so, thanks Henry!!
This is a quintessential corner deli. Great sandwiches, tasty sides, and witty, friendly banter from behind the counter. We enjoyed the chicken salad with curry sandwich, the reuben, and the Cancer Stinks sandwich, plus a side of potato salad. You can get a half or a whole sandwich. The pickles are salty but not dilly. If we lived near here, this would be a regular go-to.
