Pretty yummy food! I got the bunny chow which is chicken in an Indian sauce inside a bread bowl, with rice. It was a little grainy but great flavor. We also got salads falafel which were delicious. The waiter was very nice, put the salads on the house because we originally weren't going to try them, but he wanted us to. The prices are a bit high. View all feedback.
What Alex Sanchez doesn't like about Ginger Cafe&grill:
I was hoping that the restaurant would get back to me when I contacted them regarding food poisoning right after eating their butter chicken, but they either don't check their email address listed on their website or they don't really care. This was my first time eating here. The atmosphere was nice and so was the surrounding neighborhoods. I ordered the gyro sandwich which also came with a side Greek salad. The food was tasty and the server was good but I just don't know if it rose to the level of the price that I paid for it. The other thing that really bugged me was the cement floor. We got there right after they opened and it was apparent that somebody did mop the floor but it had a very greasy feel to it. Almost to the point that you didn't want to walk too fast in fear that you might slip and fall. Maybe the person that mopped the floors had too much soap in the water and it left a film. Maybe they should have mopped it one more time with nothing but straight hot water. I will come back and eat here again if I'm in the area but I wouldn't drive clear across town.
Really delicious food. I ordered the chicken mushrooms plate. The chicken was spiced flavorfully. Veggies (squash) were fresh. Only complaint I wish there was more mushrooms. The tzaziki/yogurt sås was best I've had here. Will come again, very pleased Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Anyway, I am certain the food gave me food poisoning. I could barely drive home right afterwards. Looking at the bad reviews about this place was quite revealing in terms of the lack of cleanliness or hygiene in this place. All other reviews I read were spot on, small portions for the money, nothing special.

Here is another treasure find in Corpus for some tasty Mediterranean treats. They have a full menu, so it will definitely take a few visits to enjoy my favorites, but definitely worth the stop
