"This quickly became our go-to place for the best coffee here in Anchorage, Alaska. Cappuccino was always hot, fresh and tasty! Would definitely recommend. We purchased some fresh coffee beans from The Sleepy Dog cafe and we just got around to finallygrinding them up. The beans were still so fresh so the coffee was amazing. Definitely buy a few bags to bring home. We?relooking into ordering more to be shipped to us. Definitely worth it!!!"

"We stopped after a short hike of jitters. found the place that is next to a large gift shop, on google. it was pretty busy, but there are tons of sitting. the place was bright and open and warm, personal friendly and coffee and pfuse cake delicious."

"This restaurant is really good and a welcome addition to the Anchorage restaurant scene. I have been here about 10 times since the restaurant opened each time very pleased. Why do I like it. First the food is different and very good. I am from Chicago, and have had great German food from the likes of the Berghoff, Zum Deutschen Eck, and Heidelberger Fass all now closed I think. The food here approaches those. It is very different from the normal halibut and salmon served at most Anchorage restaurants. We like everything but often come on Saturday night for the Sauerbraten. Definitely like a cup of chicken soup to begin. I like the red cabbage, German potato salad, and spätzle for sides. Second, the prices are good. The Sauerbraten with sides is only $14. What a deal, when most Anchorage restaurants are charging $20 to $30 or more for and entry. Third, the beer is wonderful. German beer on tap including the grapefruit beer. It comes in different sizes and all reasonably priced. Samples are readily given and plenty to taste. The location in Mountain View is a turn off for some, but I never had any issue. Some comment about the service. Truthfully, it can be variable, but the beer usually comes quickly and that can take off the edge. Definitely a recommend for something different in Anchorage."

"I was able to get lunch with my coworker on Tuesday. We happened to be downtown, and luckily beat the lunch rush. It was my first time dining here, but they were amazing!! I got the Paris Special, which is basically a French Dip but instead of shredded beef, they serve it with a steak. The food was great, and the fries were crispy. Would definitely come again!"
