This is such a gem tucked away in a plaza! A really great atmosphere with lots of fun decor and spacious seating in a very clean environment. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is full of delicious options sure to please everyone, including vegetarian options that could be modified to suit a vegan diet as well. The beverage menu offered several options that were good size for the price.... View all feedback.
What Marketa Baker doesn't like about Maizal Mexican Kitchen And Mezcaleria:
Menus smelled like pee. Pico de gallo tasted like onions and cilantro with a dash of tomato. Carne Asada had no seasoning and the rice and beans came on the same skillet which made the rice crunchy. This restaurant is not a great choice for authentic Mexican cuisine. Outside of going to Mexico, try one of the many others in the area. View all feedback.
Always a great time at Maizal! Fresh Mexican food! They are also known for their well made margaritas with Mezcal!Their queso and guacamole is also highly recommended. Service is polite and helpful. They are always happy to suggest fan favorite menu selections. Fun Mexican atmosphere with great attention to the details!
We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Maizal. Andrea and the team made our night the best ever! We rented out the loft upstairs and had 21 guests. Some of our guests had allergies and dietary restrictions. The team made it super easy to accommodate everyone. The food was amazing as always. Andrea and the team were easy to work with, made our night special by decorating the tables, and really made us feel at home. If you are looking for a place to have an event, definitely check out Maizal. You won’t regret it!
This restaurant is a refreshing take on Mexican, that doesn’t lean towards dishes dripping in oil and cheese lol. The decor feels like you’re in a Cantina and livens up the mood immediately as soon as you walk in. Our server was so warm and lovely which further created great vibes. The appetizers are too good to not eat even though the entrees are BIG!! We settled on the Oaxaca lager which is such a perfect flavor for Summer. Very authentic flavors which is such a rare event for Mexican in WNY! Will definitely be back very soon .

If you are in the Lockport area or don't mind a drive for some amazing Mexican cuisine this place is for you. The atmosphere and food were fantastic and so were the drinks. We are looking forward to coming back and it's about 45-60 drive for us, depending on traffic. We'll worth the trip. Thank me later.
