My girlfriend and I have been dining at Sidney for many years. The food is consistently fresh, creative and absolutely delicious. The service is nothing less than perfection and the cocktails are prepared by an excellent mixologist. Bravo. We will continue to drive an hour to dine at this one of a kind gem. Compliments to the Chef and Staff. Scott and Susan View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sidney Tavern:
This is a great place and the food was worth the drive. We have been there many times but the service was WAY off on this last visit. Drinks were slow, waiter disappeared, just out of sync. Clearly an inexperienced team on duty. Hopefully a one off experience. View all feedback.
The food was good. Although I thought the selection was limited, no chicken. The wait staff was very attentive. However, I felt very rushed. They served the next course before you finished the first course. No comment was made about the birthday celebration until I said something. Then we received a verbal happy birthday. Why ask when you make the reservation? We will be back because my husband loves the restaurant.
Dinner on the beautiful patio at Restaurant Sidney in East Berlin, PA. Starters of Caesar Salad and Chilled Sweet Corn Soup with cantaloupe and lump crab. Main of Herb Roasted Golden Tile Fish with three grain pilaf, marinated grilled radicchio, roasted pepper, olive and pine nut beurre blanc. Dessert of peach tarte with peach ice cream, almonds and crème anglaise. The food is always very good and the plating is beautiful. Service was friendly and efficient.
Excellent dinner and service .. our waiter was awesome and accommodated all our requests and more ! Food was exceptional and highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly exquisite dining experience !
When we travel to PA, we .ake a point of partaking food at Historical Sydney's!
Very much a 5 star resturaunt. Food, service, everything was the best you can get. They also have an outdoor dining area/ herb garden that is very charming, and they grow thier own herbs and some produce. I chose to eat inside due to the only downside, traffic noise. They are at the busiest intersection in that small town. Even inside it was a bit annoying, because the building looks to be about 200 years old with the original leaded glass windows. But don't get me wrong, I found that charming as well! My wife and I both got the prime short rib, which was falling apart tender. We got seperate desserts, I had the creme brule and she had the first dessert on the menu, I forget what it was called. She was too full to finish it so I did, and both were fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try the fish!
