After a few too many large lunches, touring the wine region we wanted a quick stop for fish and chips to eat beside the water. Initially, through tripadvisor we found AJ's in Bunbury. But on arrival, despite tripadvisor saying that it was open, it is closed on a Monday. Fortunately, someone had written a review on AJ's also mentioning Wollaston fish and chips. I have no idea why Wollaston Fish and Chip's rating is no... View all feedback.

I have a big thing for hygiene especially when your handling my food. One of the workers sitting there rubbing his hands through his hair touching his face and then straight back to handling the food. Sorry but thats a big no no for me. Another one of their workers sitting there in thongs and a singlet makes the business look unprofessional. Hopefully the food will be good as every other fish and chip shop in bunbury... Consistently excellent. The fish and chips are always delicious, and tonight the young lady even brought our order out to our car while we waited. Such fantastic service, we definitely won't be dining anywhere else.
Very delicious fish chips, it's not that oily or thick flour. No fine in, only can do take away. Better open to double check your order, high chance to mixed up. What I paid is far more than what I get. The burger is a big surprise, surprisingly delicious. It's slice beef instead of minced beef, with slices of beetroot will make it less oily feel and feel more appetite.
The best fish and chips in town can be found here. The staff is also very friendly.
Battered fish is well-cooked. The juicy fish is still locked in the thin crispy batter. We tried hake, snapper and barammudi fillets, all are fresh. The lady taking our orders for 14pax is patience and friendly. Lovely experience!! Take away only... No dine in.
Good chips but potato scallops are likely too thick as they tend to be underdone.
