Since the closure of the FAMOUS Balgownie Fish & Chip shop many locals have been at a loss to find a replacement........think I have found it. This is little family run business great food, great prices & great service.....would highly recommend for a quick cheap tasty takeaway. read more.

Dry,lifeless,overcooked,tasteless,way too much thick batter..... we had a large family pack and of the chips,fish,seafood sticks,calamari rings and none tasted good. It was all freshly cooked... but the base ingredients must have been precooked. Nothing was soggy and full of oil... but as described above.. it was dissapointing. Our son who is a junk food king could barely eat anything. read more.

the food was extremely oily and the scallops were extremely thick. safe to say, go sick to fishing nets next time as I don't throw away $20 worth of food again.

the chips are the best I've ever had and you've been baptizing. we always go well out of that to go to chris when we get away because we like her.

"I attended The Coniston Hotel for a catch up with friends and to watch an MMA fight on the big screen. It was a hot day and we sat on a table with great views and airy location. I was expecting pub food but it...looked and tasted like fine dining. The atmosphere was relaxed and the crowds were from all walks of life. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the meals."
