We went to the Short and Sweet company for lunch on a Monday. It was quiet when we arrived but got busier but they do take away too! We had an excellent home made black bean and bacon soup with sourbread and a pot of tea. The bill was approximately £15. We would happily return if we are in the area. View all feedback.

Price on menus and board ourside £2.25, price charged £2.50. Pointed this out...told they needed to get the menus updated rather than honouring the advertised price. Ok, not a lot of money but you wonder if they do that to everyone. View all feedback.

"We visited around 2pm on a Thursday and got a seat for four of us. The service was friendly and relaxed and the menu had a good variety of breakfast and lunch options. We had a couple of toasties, a club and a happy little prints, all made to order. Ratios were perfect and included a fresh seasonal slaw, dressed in balsamic and sesame seeds. Drinks were freshly squeezed orange juice, chai latte and an apple juice. There are a lot of options on places to eat in Westbourne, but I'm glad we found this one and would highly recommend."

"Amazed at how brilliant this little gem is! Be warned you will need at least an afternoon of browsing all the books, plants and quirky vintage finds! Luckily the coffee is excellent and the relaxed inclusive atmosphere is a breathe of fresh air oh and did i mention that the prices are so reasonable! We will be returning , only wish it was nearer ! But still well worth the trip "
