The George Inn - East Hampshire

We had been eagerly anticipating our Sunday dinner at this restaurant for weeks, especially with the recent change in management that has improved the atmosphere. We were pleased to book a table at 5pm today, as many country pubs stop serving food by 4pm on Sundays. We ordered roast beef and pork belly, both cooked to perfection and served with potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and all the traditional trimmings. It was one of the best roast dinners we've had in a long time, and the desserts were equally delicious. We definitely plan on returning soon. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. It's wonderful to have such a great local country pub nearby.

The pub roast was excellent, with a welcoming staff and a dog-friendly atmosphere. Our puppy enjoyed the dog menu, and the portions of roast dinners were generous.

What a lovely, quaint country pub! The new management team was delightful and very welcoming. The food was outstanding - the best burger we've ever had. We tried both the chicken and beef burgers, and they were both incredible with generous portion sizes. We will definitely be coming back.

Last Saturday we held an event at The George to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The staff were brilliant and the location in the conservatory was great. I had requested “nibbles” to have with drinks and they exceeded my expectations, being really nicely presented and great value. I thoroughly recommend for a family event.

We together with another couple visited this restaurant and were very impressed, very good atmosphere, the staff were very friendly helpful, the menu and specials board were varied to cover most people's tastes. The service and food were excellent and our meals arrived piping hot and in good time to know they were fresh. They also the had a good selection of local beers, and a working log fire. We all said we would return soon.
